About Priscilla

 

Priscilla Szneke BSN MSc is a mindfulness and meditation instructor with certifications in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Mindfulness-Based Blood Pressure Reduction, and Finding Peace in a Frantic World. She is a Mindful Habit Change community facilitator with authorization to teach the short course in Mindful Self-Compassion online. She is also authorized to teach Insight meditation. Priscilla is adjunct faculty at the Mindfulness Center at Brown University and published her first book entitled Five Women in a Jeep and Other Musings of a Meditator in October 2025.

Having spent 30 years in the healthcare field, she appreciates that mindfulness is an important component to our well-being and her intention is to share these practices with those who are looking to grow personally and professionally.

Priscilla has taught for over 15 years and is based in Rhode Island but teaches on-line as well as in-person.

Meditation

Insight or Vipassana Meditation starts with focusing attention on an object to cultivate concentration as well as calming the mind. We then have the opportunity to be with what is occurring without reactivity.

Offerings

We offer a variety of workshops focusing on mindfulness and meditation that range from an hour meditation to multiple day retreats, as well as four, six and eight-week courses.

Finding Peace in a Frantic World

Offered through the School for Professional Studies in association with the Mindfulness Center at Brown University (live on-line program)

Time: noon to 1:00 pm EDT

Dates: Wednesdays, September 24 through November 19, 2025

Five Women in a Jeep and Other Musings of a Meditator

With humor, humility, and insight, this collection of essays invites readers into the journey of a seasoned mindfulness teacher navigating the world through the lens of awareness and Buddhist philosophy.
